With LEGO set 79011 you can build part of the rocky terrain surrounding the fortress of Dol Guldur, located on a high hill. It is here, inside a small cave, that the skin-changer Beorn set up an ambush to guard the trade routes from Eriador to Mirkwood. Hating orcs, he often lured them into his handmade traps. Above the cave entrance are four copper blades, while inside lies a double defense mechanism. When enemies approach, sharp long spears shoot out of the grotto along with a massive wooden battering ram. If needed, part of the rock can be moved aside to reveal a hidden compartment containing a catapult. The set includes 3 minifigures: Beorn in his bear form, and two orcs armed with a machete, a mace, and a dual catapult. The cave section can also be combined with LEGO set 79014 The Battle of Dol Guldur.
